Desert Demo Day Tips

Dust management

Desert trails are dusty, especially on dry spring and fall days with multiple riders churning the surface. Bring eye protection (glasses or goggles). A light buff or neck gaiter keeps dust out of your lungs on dusty descents.

Water is your responsibility

Demo event organizers provide bikes and staff but don't always have adequate water for all riders. Bring your own: at minimum 2 liters for a half-day event in mild weather, 3+ liters in warmer conditions.

Tire pressure adjustment

Demo bikes are often set up for an average rider. Ask the rep what tire pressure they recommend for your weight, and request adjustment if needed.
